Social Events

Whether attending backyard BBQs or high society gatherings there is usually a need for something to break the ice. Cannabis tends to lower social anxiety and encourage feelings of togetherness and companionship. Cannabis users are usually more interested in good conversation and optimistic thinking, tending to have more empathy and compassion. When personalities clash, users often “hug it out” instead of getting into fist fights. Police officers who interact with stoned cannabis users report they are agreeable and pleasant, unlike drunks who give them no end of trouble.

Exercise

While a soda-guzzling couch potato is the stereotype, the reality is that cannabis is enjoyed by hikers, campers, skiers, cyclists, yogis, weight-lifters, runners, martial artists and other activities too numerous to mention. Cannabis amplifies sensory perception making everyday sights, smells and physical sensations more powerful and often more enjoyable.

Relaxation

Alcohol isn’t the only way to relax at the end of a tough work day. Cannabis can relax your mind and body allowing you to clear your head and soothe your aching feet. It helps to switch mental gears so a trying day doesn’t have to mean a difficult evening with the family. Unlike alcohol, which tends to heighten irritability, cannabis increases empathy, so you can feel content and better connect with others. The term “couch lock” was coined to explain the feeling of sinking into the comfy cushions of your couch and for many people nothing is more welcome after a day of stress.

Appreciation

Cannabis heightens the senses and changes the way you experience everyday life. Whether it’s an open-air concert, a homemade dinner, an art stroll, walking your dog or battling dragons in your favorite game, cannabis can allow you to see new things in your favorite activities.

Sex

Cannabis releases new sensations and elevates mood. Many find these to be helpful aids in the bedroom. Since cannabis can increase physical sensations, a simple kiss on the neck can become whole body experience. Reaching orgasm while high could be one of the most intimate and intense sensations achievable.

On the flip side, too much cannabis can make sex difficult. Cannabis may cause you to lose focus on your partner or on the task at hand making you too stoned to reach climax or you may doze off. As with all cannabis use, know your limits and experiment to see which strains and concentrations work for you and your partner.

Be Safe

Keep in mind that certain activities can be hazardous or deadly if sobriety is critical to the safety of yourself and others.

Cannabis is currently illegal on a federal level in the United States. Therefore, possession, transport and consumption may be punishable by prison time and/or a fine, even in states where it is legal. In states where cannabis is legal for medical and/or recreational use, the user is subject to local guidelines and laws pertaining to possession, transport and consumption at the state, city, county and township levels. Do your research before you travel.
